We of course had to start the day off right with a little excursion to a place the boys call home, we call it the Bass Pro Shop. The sun was just coming up over the lake and the fog was rolling out. Hope you enjoy the pics, lots of baby E. :D
For toni,
A little bit of color in a sea of white . . .
Apparently the poor spider didnt get the message. It was a real spider web and it just looks really thick because it had that much ice on it.
Look at this beautiful truck, it reminds me of a nice cold winter with lots of snow and a freshly cut down pine tree.
Toni and Elane standing in line inside Bass Pro waiting to see Santa
And yes, she looks all kinds of interested in seeing Santa, see her legs retreating while mommy holds her in place :D
This was outside the Bass Pro. It is the entrance to the new outside mall they put it in. It is great :D Lots of "Kandi" stores.
The whole family-1, Jake had just started his new job and was unable to join us. He is now working for Charter Cable now and has a local job so he doesnt have to travel the states. He is excited to see what the new job will bring his way.
I couldnt help it, I love these reindeer. You think this one will fit in my apartment? Or my front yard? Yeah, probably not. . .
We are finally there. After much debate about parking and bus rides to the park, we finally made it in. First stop, glass blowers . . .
It is amazing how they take a lump of essentially sand, overheat it and make beautiful works of art. . .
Cant go anywhere without trying the food. We decided to go with a suggestion frmo a friend of mine's. It is called suckatash, OH MY GOD GOOD!!!!!They make it in these huge skillets, cast iron of course.
Steve was watching over her while us girls shopped. Okay obviously I wasnt shopping I was watching baby E sleep but you know.
I also got a little side tracked by the beautiful scenery. Even in the midst of winter, the hills were beautiful.

Next stop, ANIMALS! Elane has a new fascination with every living creature, even snakes, dont ask. Steve took her in for her first up close and personal with goats. Toni was soon to follow and Elane of course wanted to take one home.
Elane loved the reindeer and it reminded her of the guys in the family, she even named them Dale and Steve :D Of course on her own with out any pushing.
AND FOR THE BEST PART! Here is the Santa that takes the cake. He was the most awesome of all. The hair was real, the beird, the clothes, EVERYTHING!
Enjoy and just remember, he always knows who has been naughty and nice :D
Santa had to leave to feed his reindeer so Elane didnt get to go sit on his lap. She did however write him a letter and asked for a penguin that Aunt Kandi strategically bought when she wasnt looking and hid. It appeared under the tree with a note from Santa :D
Oh, there is Steve. . .
Oh, the snow flakes, LOVED these so much I was walking up the hill backwards holding onto my mom's backpack so that I didnt hit anything. Look at all those people and we were only a quarter of the way up the hill.
This was a beautiful little church. Steve said that they moved the whole church to its current site. It was gorgoues white oak inside with a huge beautiful window looking over the valley.
This was back at the main square. It is the volunteer firefighter tower. It was gorgeous and with the lights in the trees it was magnificent.
This tree is crazy cool. It was all lights and when the music played every fifteen minutes the lights moved with the music. Check out the video below the blue pic.
This is us after a very very cold day walking around.
Oh no, here we are. This is inside the exit from Silver Dollar City. They are hand crocheted snowflakes and wreaths. This one was more of an arch but still amazing.
The angel bids us fairwell from Silver Dollar City. We have one last stop in Branson on our way home.
Oh look, she took pics of her feet :D This usually happens when I give her my camera.
